Slideshows
Slideshows let you turn your data flows into step-by-step narratives. Whether you're presenting to stakeholders, teaching others, or pitching ideas, slideshows help you communicate data clearly — one slide at a time.
What is a slideshow?
In Datastripes, a slideshow is a curated sequence of slides, each one built around a node or output from your flow.
You decide what story to tell — the slideshow walks your audience through it. Visualizations, transformations, and insights unfold slide by slide.
Unlike dashboards, slideshows aren’t about interaction — they’re about focus. Each slide frames one moment in your data story.
How to create a slideshow
Start with a flow — then select what you want to highlight.
- Click Create slideshow in the toolbar.
- Pick the nodes or outputs that should appear on slides.
- Add titles and speaker notes to guide your audience.
- Reorder slides to structure your narrative.
- Preview, save, and share.
Each slide is a window into part of your flow — a filtered view, a chart, or a critical transformation step.
Customizing the experience
Slideshows are built for storytelling, so you can shape how each moment feels:
Customization options include:
- Layouts (single-view, split-screen, etc.)
- Transition styles
- Notes for presenters
- Highlights and callouts for key visuals
- Timed playback for automated walkthroughs
Whether you’re narrating live or sharing asynchronously, slideshows stay clear and compelling.
Sharing and exporting
Once your slideshow is ready, you can:
- Share it with a link
- Present it live within the Datastripes app
- Export it to PDF or images for offline use or emailing
Slideshows also work well embedded in knowledge bases, onboarding docs, or websites.
Example use cases
Datastripes slideshows are useful across many scenarios:
Client presentations — show the logic behind your insights.
Training sessions — walk through a flow step-by-step.
Team updates — turn flows into mini-reports.
Data storytelling — guide your audience from question to conclusion.
The key idea: your data has a story. Slideshows give it structure and flow.
